Laura Harsh, APRN

Laura Harsh grew up in Maplewood, Minnesota. She spent her summers in Reno as a nanny while in college. After graduating with her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from St Catherine University (St Paul, MN) in 2002 she moved to Reno for one winter of skiing. 

 

She began her nursing career at St Mary’s hospital in Reno on the medical oncology unit. She found her passion caring for oncology patients. She worked in the inpatient medical oncology unit, radiation oncology and infusion center. In 2008, she enrolled in Nurse Practitioner school.  She graduated from Holy Names University (Oakland, CA) in 2010 with a Master’s Degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. While practicing as a Nurse Practioner she worked in urgent care until she returned to Oncology in 2017 when she joined Cancer Care Specialist. Laura is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.  

 

Laura is a mother to two girls. She enjoys snow skiing, water skiing, camping, walking, road cycling, and is a hockey and football fan.
